Bathroom Tile Is the Most Demanding Installation We Do

A bathroom is a wet environment. Water gets on the floor, steam penetrates grout joints, and the substrate expands and contracts with temperature changes. Tile that is installed without accounting for these conditions will fail. Grout cracks, tiles loosen, and water works its way into the wall framing where it causes damage that costs far more to fix than the original tile job.

We approach every bathroom tile project with that in mind. The visible work, the tile pattern and grout color, is the last step. What matters most happens before the first tile goes up.

What Is Included in Our Bathroom Tile Service

Waterproofing

Shower walls and floors get a liquid-applied membrane or sheet membrane before tile. We reinforce corners and changes in plane with fabric tape embedded in the membrane. This step is not optional on any wet area we work on.

Floor and Wall Tile Setting

We set floor tile on a properly sloped mortar bed or pre-sloped shower pan so water drains toward the center drain rather than pooling at the edges. Wall tile is set with back-buttered coverage on each piece for full adhesion.

Niche and Bench Construction

Niches are framed, waterproofed, and tiled to match the surrounding wall. Benches are built from cement board or tile backer, not wood, so they do not absorb moisture over time.

Grout and Caulk

We use sanded or unsanded grout depending on joint width and tile type. Corners and changes in plane get caulk instead of grout, which allows for movement without cracking. Epoxy grout is available for high-stain-resistance applications.

Shower Conversions and Full Bathroom Remodels

If you are converting a tub-shower combination to a walk-in shower, we handle the tile portion of that work. We do not do plumbing, but we work alongside your plumber to coordinate the drain location, curb height, and niche placement before tile day arrives. Planning those details in advance prevents costly changes once the tile is set.
